What You Need to Provide:

2. Photo Guidelines:

  • Accompanying Photos: For each submission, we ask that you include at least one high-resolution photo that complements your story. This could be an image of the event, subject, or setting you are writing about.
  • Originality: All photos must be original and taken by you or legally sourced. You must have the rights to use and submit the images.
  • Format & Quality: Photos should be in JPEG or PNG format and at least 1920x1080 pixels in resolution.
  • Photo Descriptions: Please provide a brief caption for each photo, explaining who or what is shown, the location, and any relevant context.

Note: If you cannot provide a photo, please mention this when submitting, and we will assess if a stock image may be used. However, providing original imagery enhances the chances of your story being published.

At The Asia Times, we pride ourselves on publishing accurate, credible stories. We require all contributors to ensure the truthfulness of their content. Here’s what we expect:

  • Fact-Checking: All stories must be factually accurate. If you're reporting on an event, ensure that dates, names, locations, and other factual details are verified. If citing statistics, quotes, or research, please provide the appropriate references.
  • Original Content: Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Submissions must be original and not previously published elsewhere. All works will be subject to plagiarism checks before publication.
  • Sources: If your story relies on interviews or quotes, you must provide the name and contact information of the interviewees if requested for verification purposes.

By submitting your work to The Asia Times, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Original Work: All submissions must be your original work. By submitting, you confirm that you own the rights to all written content and any accompanying photos or images.
  2. Exclusive License: Upon acceptance, you grant The Asia Times an exclusive license to publish your story. You may not republish the content elsewhere without our prior written consent.
  3. Editing Rights: The Asia Times reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, grammar, length, and adherence to our editorial guidelines. We may also modify headlines or images to better fit our platform.
  4. Payment Terms (if applicable): If your submission is selected for paid publication, the payment will be made within 30 days of the article going live on our platform. Payment amounts will be discussed upon acceptance.
  5. No Guarantee of Publication: Submission of an article does not guarantee publication. The Asia Times reserves the right to reject any submissions that do not meet our standards or adhere to our guidelines.
  6. Copyrights and Attribution: You will be credited as the author of your work. However, The Asia Times retains full publishing rights for the content on its platform. You will not be able to revoke these rights once the story is published.
  7. Responsibility for Content: You are responsible for the content you submit, including ensuring that it does not violate any laws, infringe on the rights of others, or contain defamatory material.
  8. Privacy Policy: We collect personal information (name, email, etc.) for the purpose of communicating with you regarding your submission. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
